Justin Bieber’s Skylrk launches first 3D printed shoes
Justin Bieber’s new brand Skylrk has just concluded its hugely successful pop-up store in Tokyo, where it was greeted by huge crowds of fans, with lines reportedly around 2 kilometers long. The Harajuku pop-up store, which has only been open for four days, launched, among other merchandise, the brand’s first 3D printed sneakers, called the “Earth Bender.”
Here’s a closer look at the Skylrk footwear debut event and future.
Skylrk’s meteoric rise and Tokyo debut
Launched in July after years of anticipation by Justin Bieber and designer Neima Khalia, Skylrk features comfortable, comfortable silhouettes, bold colors and patterns, and has so far focused on footwear. The brand is positioned differently from Bieber’s previous label, Drew House, and is the singer’s first independent foray into streetwear.
“I’d like to say that Skylrk is the result of hard work and intentionality,” Bieber wrote in a post. Instagram post. “But honestly, I think this company is just a reflection of my intimacy…People like to keep their work life and their love life separate. I believe there’s only one life, and it’s a love life.”
As Skylrk comes to the end of its first year, it has set up shop in downtown Harajuku for a limited run (December 4-7). The space evokes the brand’s relaxed spirit, with furniture and installation elements produced entirely by the in-house team. The store showcases the core range, but the main attraction is a selection of Japan-exclusive limited edition products.
For locals, the event was a huge hit. Fans shared clips of the pop-ups on social media, with some posting videos boasting about their hauls at the pop-ups, many of which included hoodies and shoes worth more than 100,000 yen.

Earth Bender: Next Generation Silhouette
Most notably, the Tokyo pop-up store launched Earth Bender shoes. The Earth Bender is the brand’s first 3D printed shoe – a football-influenced sneaker look with a flip-up tongue. It was created in partnership with Zellerfeld, the company behind a full-stack 3D printing platform used by a range of other brands such as Nike. The Earth Bender debuts in a vibrant Lilac colorway, while an Oatmeal colorway is also revealed for trial use.
The move builds on Bieber’s history of using the technology – he was previously spotted wearing Zellerfeld’s fully recyclable Nami sneakers.
