How regular sex can help you pee your pants
This is tea about how sex can help control urination.
The bladder leak affects about 25 million Americans, which may be the main source of embarrassment for those who deal with it.
Especially for women, it may be more common after menopause due to pelvic flooring issues. But experts told the post that it is a very interesting way to keep the pelvic strength and avoid accidents.
Why are you more likely to pee your pants after menopause?
Estrogen is the main female sex hormone and has a significant decline during menopause. This decline can lead to sparse and dryness of tissue in the urogenital tract, including the vagina and vulva.
“The bladder is connected to the vagina, so you can get many symptoms of urine, including the urgency and frequency of urination,” said Susan Loeb-Zeitlin, Ph.D., a gynecologist at Newyork-Presbyterian and director of the Center for Women’s Middle-aged Life at Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Studies have shown that the most common bladder symptoms during menopause include nocturnal urine or frequent nocturnal urination and urinary incontinence, which is an involuntary loss of urine during activities such as coughing, laughing, or exercise.
Loeb-Zeitlin said the decline in estrogen also weakens the pelvic floor muscles and helps support the bladder.
However, fixing it can make the pelvic floor strong.
Sexual treatment
Leslie Kenny, founder of Oxford Health Range and co-founder of Oxford Longevity Project, told The Post: “Oxford Health Span, co-founder of Oxford Lifespan Project, “Women’s orgasm strengthens the pelvic floor muscles through rhythmic contractions, which helps reduce urinary incontinence and promote reproductive health. ”
“Basically, these contractions in climax enhance pelvic floor function.”
She also believes that doing so without a condom has other benefits for women, allowing them to absorb sperm (a compound that activates cell renewal) from their partners.
Sperm can help seal and tighten cells in the vaginal walls, which tend to be thin and spread due to aging. This seal can also help prevent leakage.
“The sperm in the vagina contributes to the integrity of the vaginal lining. Again, this is a problem for postmenopausal women because there is too much dryness and the walls lose their integrity,” she said.
For those who do not have regular intercourse or have sex with male partners, sperm supplementation is a viable option.
Kenny also recommends that women with urinary incontinence use red light rods, which strengthens the pelvic floor and combines heat, vibration, and light from red and infrared LEDs.
Sex is also good for the body and mind.
“Frequent orgasms reduce stress and increase immunoglobulin; sex is great for cardiovascular function, while intimate touch relieves pain.”
