Dad lashed out at the “free pass” after his wife’s caesarean section

A pregnant woman quarreled with her husband on the sofa.

Some husbands dream about a romantic holiday – others dream about traveling alone while their wives recover from the surgery.

A Reddit user caused anger online last week on the infamous AITA forum after her husband asked for a “free pass” to travel a few weeks after she was preparing to pass a caesarean section.

The woman, who is expecting in December, said she told her husband that she might also be able to travel briefly during the holiday with her newborn and friends.

His answer? “Okay, but if you change your mind, can I get a free pass?”

When she asked him what he meant, he explained: It was an opportunity to fly alone while she stayed at home from big belly surgery, breastfeeding and adapting to life with her newborns – probably their toddlers.

“I’ll do it after less than a month of major abdominal surgery…I think he’ll obviously help and support me at home – so I was shocked and hurt and he’ll even ask about this.”

She added that he claimed he was “just checking” just in case she changed her mind, but she called the idea selfish, asking if the online community was wrong because of being upset.

The post quickly spread, with Reddit users blowing up their husbands’ time and lack of empathy.

One commenter wrote: “NTA, he should never leave you alone with your kids.

Others piled up: “Not only is he, but when you have a family, especially a new baby, and your wife has surgery, it seems like the NYE program is very immature.

Some Redits shared personal opinions: “My friend had an emergency caesarean section and it’s been a while. It’s a major surgery.”

A mother-son health nurse bluntly said: “No, this is unreasonable and even insensitive.

This isn’t the first time Reddit roasts her husband when she claims “my time” because it relaxes.

Last week, a three-year-old father (nine, six and two) vented his burnout on a popular forum.

Sure, six days of medical work are tough, but Reddit users sympathize with the man for a rest, while his full-time wife keeps performing uninterrupted children.

“I work in health care so I can have a very comprehensive/stressed day, often feeling very emotionally and physically tired when I get home from get off work and I feel increasingly tired lately.”

After hard working hours, he admitted that he was running on the smoke. “I found that I could work at work to get the job done, but once I got home, my tank had nothing, which resulted in very little patience, and it was actually only in the body.”

He said: “’My time refers to commuting, rare weekly runs and partitioning with doomsday scrolling and TV after kids are lying in bed.

He should have jumped in and helped the kids pester their children the second second he walked through the door, asking, “aitah [am I the a—hole] Because I want some time when I want me to go home? ”

The commenter’s verdict came soon – mostly baked, not rooted. The user quickly summoned his father to look down at his wife’s ruthless 24/7 mill.

Ultimately, some husbands plan romance, others plan a solo escape-Reddit isn’t shy about summoning the difference.
