‘Greedy’ wife slammed for insisting husband share his stuff

Just bite the bullet.

A man got into trouble because he refused on principle to share food with his wife.

The snack-loving husband explained on Reddit that he always tries to stock the house with his wife’s favorite foods, so it’s rarely an issue.

However, when fruit persimmons came on sale (his wife loves the seeded treats as much as he does), the plan turned into a snack.

The author reveals that in this case, she prefers to eat on the firm side, while he prefers the “texture of pudding.”

“By mid-week she had eaten it all and I bought her more at the market and she ate it too,” he wrote.

“I just [started] Ate mine today and gave her a bite. She said, ‘No, I’m going to get it myself.’ I said, ‘No way, those are mine,'” the man added, referring to his stock of mush that had been sitting around for weeks waiting to mature.

Suddenly, his wife flew into a rage and berated the man for refusing to share.

“She was upset about it and said it was my thing throughout our marriage. I designated the food as mine. “All food should be something anyone can eat if that person wants it at the time,” she explain.

But her husband stuck to his word and kept all her food, leftovers and desserts intact. He believes that there should be a firm boundary.

“I’ll try to make sure she has something she likes,” he added. “If I accidentally eat all she wants, I’ll hear it, trust me.”

In the comments, many people came to the man’s defense.

“Your wife needs to let you have what you have set aside for yourself,” one wrote. “She had enough Her own. “

“It’s so frustrating when you’re trying so hard to save food for later, only to have it ignored. A little respect for boundaries is key!” Another added, with many other commenters calling his wife “greedy” and “selfish.”

“She’s so childish,” one scold declared, a statement that prompted another to point fingers.

“I do think your wife is a bit childish. She expects you to share all your food while she shares none of hers,” they wrote.
