Technology is a useful servant, but also a dangerous master.

Whether technology is involved or not, the basics of sex and porn addiction are the same. As sex and porn addicts, we continually and compulsively engage in problematic sexual behaviors despite the obvious negative consequences in our lives, and we do this with or without the help of technology. Sure, some of us prefer “pixel sex” to real-world sex and vice versa, but the lack of one or the other doesn’t stop us. With the advent of digital technology, the most important change for us is the way and speed with which we find and access sexual content and partners that fuel our addictions.
