This is my third review of Hankey’s Toys and I’m starting to sound like a broken record: These toys are great! They are well-made, well-priced investments, and each one is a work of art. The design team at Hankey’s absolutely goes above and beyond when it comes to executing their unique and creative visions, and the Sex Machine Dildo is no exception. Before sex machines, I had exactly zero exposure to futuristic dildos. Nothing to do with machines, science, or anything else in the artificial world. All my toys are abstract/fantasy, lifelike, or more or less things found in nature. But sex machines open up a whole new world of sci-fi possibilities…

This is a fabulous dildo. It’s so detailed that it looks like some kind of aerospace engineering; the ridges and bumps complement what look like pistons and valves(?), and it has a gilded, almost armor-like feel to it. The top and bottom are different, and their contours have gentle curves for easy installation. The tip is very “human”, a smooth mushroom-shaped glans with mechanical details on the sides of its crown. Whatever these shapes and textures represent, they are delightful.

Aesthetically speaking, sex machines are very robotic, very futuristic, very elegant. It’s designed to feel substantial, and its length: perimeter equation is what I call perfect. This is not a slim beginner dildo. This is a chunky dong with rich texture and variety to suit your cravings. Luckily for us, it comes in 4 sizes, small Insertable length is 20 cm (8 inches), maximum circumference is 21 cm (8.25 inches). I recommend reading the dimensions carefully when ordering your sex machine! Likewise, your sex machine can have 4 different textures/hardnesses. I chose Medium, which is the perfect level of resistance and give. If you’re like me and like a dildo that’s fairly firm but still not “hard,” choose the “Medium Firm” option. Hankey’s “soft” is pretty soft, so unless you like a lot of squeezing, go for a firmer option.

Designed for mechanics fans!

If you like sci-fi fantasies involving robots, robots, and other mechanical things, then you might enjoy Mechanophilia! This is a kink and/or fetish centered on attraction and adoration for mechanical objects. But don’t worry, sex machines aren’t just for mechanical enthusiasts, anyone can experience the textured surfaces and superior curves of a sex machine. For me personally, mechanical and scientific stuff doesn’t excite me, however, it’s a very attractive dildo and although not thematic, I really appreciate the design and level of detail. Hankey’s sculpting is gorgeous, full of tiny details, ridges, and grooves, and you’ll be very pleased with the feel even if the look isn’t your usual preference.

To be fair, this toy does spark some “what ifs” about future fantasies. I won’t bore you with the details, but my imagination is definitely sparked by this beautiful and gorgeous robot dildo. What would it be like to have sex with a machine? What does it feel like to be attracted to or aroused by something artificial but not human? If nothing else, it made me think. I don’t think I’ll be identified as a mecha nerd anytime soon, but I do appreciate toys that make me think and make me ask questions. That’s what sex machines do.

What you need to know about sex machines

As mentioned, this is a pretty big toy, so make sure you know what you’re ordering. Hankey’s website warns: “Due to the nature of our products, orders will not be returned unless defective. Please pay careful attention to the size and don’t let your eyes be greedier than your holes!”

1. The sex machine’s texture is achieved through grooves and ridges, and while it’s a smooth dildo overall, those nooks and crannies require special attention when cleaning.
2. My sex machine comes in gun metal gray, but you can choose from 25 colors, with the option to make yours metallic. Likewise, you can add a Vac-U-Hole to the base so it can be used with suction cups.
3. I didn’t try the sex machine in a strap-on harness because I didn’t have an o-ring large enough to accommodate its thick base, but I suspect it might be a little awkward as a strap-on harness because of the detail in the base that makes it A little uneven, but open enough for anal use.

You might think that after testing and reviewing dozens of dildos over the years, they would all look the same, but toys like sex machines, and frankly any of Hankey’s toys, keep things fresh and interesting. Like the Hankey’s Toys Scorpion Sex Grinder, I’m glad I tried something that didn’t appeal to me as obviously as other designs, because in the end, I absolutely loved the sex machine and I can’t recommend it enough. It’s fun, beautifully made, body-safe, and will last you a lifetime.
