How to use larger anal toys without having to prepare before each use

Mainly plug related. I really like my 1.75″ Hush plug and Snug plug 3, but usually have to warm them up with my fingers before I can use them, and then I use the smaller plugs. This process usually takes a while, so I use the plugs during intercourse less often than I’d like. I’ve been using toys in the shower for the past month or two, and now I can use these plugs with smaller toys (slowly) without any prep. My main question is, what do I need to do to keep it going? While I don’t hate using toys most nights, it’s still a waste of time. My goal is to have PIV intercourse once a week using a plug, but my wife and I usually don’t know how to prepare for it several hours in advance. Thank you in advance!
