Help: How do I fasten my Aslan Jaguar seatbelt?

I feel a little silly asking this, but this is my first time using a high end leather harness. I’ve only used Tomboi shorts for a long time before. The Jaguar has a hole that goes all the way through. I’ve tried placing the dildo both ways, and one of the ways cuts off some length! Which way is correct? Does the base of the dildo go in from the back of the harness so the base sits against my skin? Skin: Base/Dildo: Harness: O-Ring – If so, why do I still need an O-Ring? Or does the base rest on the leather (sit on the leather)? Skin: Harness: Base: O-Ring Thanks for your help.
