The effects of wearing a chastity cage for a long time

I’m new to chastity cages, I bought a plastic one a few years ago and it didn’t fit at all. I’m about to buy a new one now and hopefully it will fit. I don’t wear it 24 hours a day or for very long periods of time. I only wear it once or twice a month for 1-2 hours at most to play with my butt. I’ve read about chastity cages reducing penis size after a while, and I don’t want my penis to shrink at all. Does the reduction in size only affect those who wear it regularly 24 hours a day, or does it affect those who wear it occasionally like me?
