In this case, is it too early to use a larger butt plug?

Hi. I’m 27 and gay. I started using a set of butt plugs in March (1″, 1.2″ and 1.4″). After a month I was able to use the largest butt plug and it felt great until a month ago when it started to wear out and the feeling was much worse. A few weeks ago I bought a 1.6″ dildo that I can fully insert and now ride mostly for pleasure. I’m planning on getting myself a new butt plug that’s bigger than my last one, about 1.8″. What do you think? Is it too sudden? I want to feel full.
