Didn’t clean vibrator after infection last year. Advice pls.

So last year I got a strep infection from inserting a rabbit I liked using externally. It’s just been sitting in a box stewing in bacteria for a year. Will cleaning it actually clean it? I’m afraid the silicone has absorbed the bacteria. I read somewhere a while ago that you should never use an infected toy. Maybe this was in relation to STD’s but I’m not sure. Advice? I have health anxiety and really don’t want another infection! Thanks!
