A recent study published in Magazine Personality and Individual Differences shares strategies that people often use when they break up with someone.

It is reported that breaking up with men is harder than that of women. But, according to this study, no matter who ends things, people have three common ways.

“Most people experience the end of an intimate relationship (usually several times) and they initiate it themselves or their partner. Because this phenomenon is relatively common and painful, I have the motivation to ask people how they actually solve it, and the current study author aims to address this goal,” said study author Menelaos Apostolou, a professor of evolutionary chemistry at the Knicks University.

Participants in the 228 study (men and women in their 30s) were asked to envision themselves in their unsatisfied relationship and then write down how they would end it.

228 Others were instructed to look at 45 different ways to break up with someone and figure out the possibility of them using any method.

According to the answers the researchers received from hundreds of participants, the most popular method (86%) of breaking things down with someone was the “softening strike” strategy.

A common example of this approach is trying not to blame others and be responsible for certain misconduct in a relationship.

Another common way people say “thank you, next” is to suggest a break.

24% of young people say rest is the best choice. Although many couples don’t return from a separation period, it is believed that this is the opportunity for two individuals to separately evaluate the relationship to decide whether to continue dating.

The third commonly used method of breaking up is to avoid confrontation – also known as hosting. 16% would rather not say anything at all, but slowly get out of their partner – leaving the other person confused and sad, wondering what went wrong.

Groups that like to cheat on others may be people who consider using AI to end relationships.

According to a survey by dating assistant wing friends, 41% of people use robots to break things up with someone. It is reported that women are more sinful than men.

Nearly half of young people aged 18 to 29 find it easier to ask others (i.e. chapt GPT) to do dirty work for them.
