11 Lingerie Brands for Women in All Sizes – Beauty for All

Savage X Fenty Lingerie

Lingerie stores are filled with lace, silk, and dominatrix-level sex appeal. But when you start searching through the rows of gorgeous merchandise, nothing bursts the euphoric bubble faster than realizing there aren’t any clothes that fit—not even enough. What starts out as an exciting experience can end up leaving you frustrated, lost, and even in tears.

I’ve been there – I’ve even cried. You know how I feel about this whole thing?

Kill them.

You heard it right.

To hell with Victoria’s Secret and any other store that thinks only super skinny women under 30 or with a C cup deserve to be sexy.

So in the spirit of “f@ck ’em,” here are some body and Lingerie and panty stores/brands that carry a full range of sizes are more worthy of your money.

1. SAVAGE X FENTY

It’s no surprise that the woman who created a foundation line with 40 shades also created a lingerie line to suit all body types.

The best part? Their models embody the brand’s philosophy. Savage X uses women of all sizes to showcase their products—from skinny to super busty. One of their video campaigns even features a pregnant woman wearing a sling.

2. Lane Bryant, Chiefs

Lane Bryant - Cacique Full Size Bra

Another brand with some excellent plus-size options. Busty girls who scoff at DD bras will be happy to know there are plenty of options to hug your full breasts comfortably and sexily. The models are all curvy girls, and sizes start at a 14. The lingerie sets are pretty nice, too.

The only weird thing? I took their “Bra Finder Quiz” to find the bra that would work best for me. The questions were insightful and promising, but my normal 36B ended up being a 34C… and no C cups in any store fit properly. So, feel free to take the quiz, but also use your past experience and common sense when making your purchase.

3. Nubian skin

Nubian Skin Underwear

Ever notice that most “skin-colored” lingerie is a little racist? Think about it, it’s either a light peach or a solid black. Nubian Skin saw a gap in this market and created a line targeting women of color to find the perfect nude shade for them. They also have curve hosiery! Scores 11/10 in the awesome category.

4. The Third Love

Third Love Women's Lingerie, full size lingerie

The focus here is on bras. They also have underwear and tights, but that’s more like an accessory to go with the bras.

Additionally, the site is great for those with a busty chest or those who just want to keep things simple – which means the site is more focused on fit and comfort. Lots of pretty cottons and solid colors, with a little bit of flair. However, keep in mind that if you take their “fit” test, you’ll need to get your results via email.

Another thing I liked was that one of their featured models was an older woman. So cool!

5. Heat

Hot underwear

With sizes ranging from 10 to 30, Torrid is a mecca for curvy girls. In addition to daywear and special occasion pieces, you’ll also find a ton of lingerie, including corsets! Their models also come in different shades of curvy, so you can see how the products will look on you.

6. Little Devil Lee

Impish Lee Full Size Bra

From very small to very large, ladies of all sizes can be found here. If you like bra and panties or garter combinations, this is the place for you too.

There is also a “design your own lingerie” option which is super customizable so it’s awesome. They also have sexy robes and slips to create super lingerie sets. Reviews praise how well all the clothes they’ve purchased fit and are comfortable to wear.

7. Dear Kate

Dear Kates Women's Full Size Lingerie

Maybe you don’t like lace or silk. Maybe comfort is the ultimate sexy thing for you – that’s okay! Dear Kates makes bras, panties, dancewear, and activewear. The main selling point is their panties, which are period panties! I love that their styles come in all shapes and sizes – with hems, pouches, and pretty stretch marks. No Photoshop here!

8. Ashley Stewart

Ashely Stewart Women's Underwear

There are so many choices! Sizes start at a 12 and go all the way up to the 30s or 3-4XL. There are fun, gimmicky, and weird clothing options. There are enough panties and bras that you should be able to find something that tickles your fancy.

There are a lot of sizes in the socks section, but some styles are a bit “off-fitting” rather than “right” (there are only two universal sizes). Before you spend your credit card on pantyhose, take a few minutes to read the details.

9. YANDY

Yandy.com Underwear

I have a love-hate relationship with Yandy. On the one hand, it has a much wider selection of sizes and lingerie designs than many sites – which is great. However, instead of having all of the options available to fit every body type, the store is split into two sections (and for anyone who’s sized S/M/L).

This means the S/M/L bodycon silk bras you might covet are not available in the plus-size girls section. Their socks section is also disappointing because they are “one size fits all” – meaning “if you are larger, it may still fit, but your legs will be bulky because it will restrict blood circulation to your extremities.”

Don’t get me wrong, this site is definitely worth a look. It just takes a little time to find, and I wish it took a few extra steps to bring everything together.

10. Hips and curves

Hips & Curves Lingerie, Women's Underwear

Another store for plus-size women (sizes start at 1XL) – because let’s face it, these are the hardest sizes to find in lingerie.

There’s so much gorgeous clothing here you’ll be spoilt for choice. There’s even an impressive section for socks, clothing and accessories. Bonus points for being an ambassador for the Bra Recycling scheme.

11. Neon Moon

Neon Moon, underwear in all sizes

A British lingerie brand created by feminists. Models come in all shapes and sizes, but are beautiful because they are women – tattoos, skinny, hairy, with C-section scars, curvy, transgender, etc.

The company/founders have also been fierce in their defense of their body-promoting, inclusive platform, even going so far as to go into an all-out battle with a 4chan community that tried to use Photoshop to make all of the models—some of them some seriously amazing, really beautiful women—look thinner.

The collection is a bit limited in designs and colors at the moment, but I guess that’s because they’re still pretty new (the underwear/panties line is gaining momentum with a crowdfunding campaign). The online store doesn’t seem to be open full time at the moment, but I’m looking forward to when it does.

Why is size selection so bad?

How many times have you walked into a store and sworn that a size L would fit you (because every other size L has fit you before), only to find out you need three sizes up.

Do you know why? The secret is simple, but shocking – Sizes are not as universal as the industry would like to believe.

The “S/M/L” measurements are based on Main customer groupsSo if a lot of thin people shop at store X, a medium-sized pair of jeans will be smaller than a similar pair of jeans at store Y, which may be stocked mostly with larger people.

My personal experience comes from my life in China. I looked for size L underwear, but they didn’t fit over a leg… literally. I was very frustrated when I found out that even size 5XL underwear barely fit over my hips. I had to ship all my underwear from Canada.

Why?

Because Chinese women are smaller on average. Therefore, their sizes are manufactured to reflect that. Any large item “made in China” is shipped to other countries and manufactured to the buyer’s specifications to fit their own customer base. It’s made there, but not sold there.

Translate this international phenomenon into the microcosm of each country or company.

Interesting Facts – There are companies that specialize in size comparison shopping. They buy “size large” (or other sizes) products from different stores and then compare the actual sizes. In some cases, the differences are quite large.

What does it mean?

The next time you walk into a store and find that there is no clothing that fits, don’t let it get you down or make you doubt your own beauty. Toss the clothing back on the hanger and walk away with your head held high.

Because screw them.

Do you have experience with any of these brands? Which ones would you personally like to give a shout-out to? Share them in the comments!
