10 O-Ring Gags – Product Reviews, Personal Opinions and

If you love drooling, putting things in your mouth, and/or collecting mouth gags, O-rings are for you! Here are some quick tips and ten products I took a closer look at.

Buy O-Ring Gags

They’re pretty simple (like any other gag) and might even be a little safer than a ball gag (have more breathing room) – although a ball gag isn’t really a dangerous BDSM item.

I recommend paying attention to four things.

1. Ring size – Make sure the diameter is right for you or your partner (don’t assume they will “get used to” it). Smaller rings are better at first. After that, you can slowly increase the ring diameter.

2. Materials – Silicone is great for cleaning, while leather looks cool. If you are allergic to silicone, be careful of silicone knockoffs and nickel-plated hardware. Also, silicone is softer and better if you don’t want to bite down on hard stuff.

3. Price – They are all simple designs. Even if you use silicone or stainless steel, the price should be very affordable. When you start using more complex designs, the cost will go up.

4. Cleaning – Make sure you can disinfect all nooks and crannies.

Product Reviews

1. Silicone tie ring

The most basic Betty you can buy – no problem! However, despite its simple design, this silicone O-ring may not be suitable for beginners who don’t like to stretch – its diameter is 4.8 cm. Due to its slightly softer nature (better than metal rings), it will be more “flexible”, but it’s still best to err on the side of caution.

2. Deep throat gag

The size here is a little larger (2.4 cm) and it’s metal. The secondary ring may distribute the pressure and make it more comfortable. Also, many O-rings have a reference to oral sex – “it opens wide, why not stick your penis in it” or something like that. However, pay close attention to where the strap connects to the ring to make sure there are no bruises, scrapes or cuts.

3. Leather O-ring

I like this one because it’s another simple mouth gag design, but the spiked detail makes things more interesting. Also, if the seller is legit, it’s always good to support artists who make handmade items.

4. “Party” O-Ring

It’s important to look at the other end of the quality spectrum – that is, they are poor. I was excited about this until I saw that the ring was made of SillaGel (unsafe) and the details stated it was a “Halloween” or “Masquerade” party accessory. There are safer versions available, so use this as an example of why you should read the details carefully.

5. Spider Prank

If you or your playmates tend to drool when wearing a gag, you might consider getting a spider ring. In addition to looking more hardcore, the strap sits further away from the mouth, making it cleaner. This one is also a little smaller (3.1cm), so it’s better for beginners – assuming you prefer metal to silicone.

6. Ring plug with clip

I love BDSM gear, and sometimes you find a product that tries to figure out how to add and combine as many kinks as possible.

Most mouth plugs are made of silicone (which is body-safe and easy to clean!), but some have metal parts. The nipple clamps are also adjustable alligator clamps, so you can make them tighter or looser depending on your preference.

7. Belts and Gags

Yay! Another combo! A collar, plus a leash and gag. The straps seem forgiving enough to fit different body types. It’s fake leather but the silicone keeps it protected. Great if the masochist prefers a taller collar.

8. Open headband

I like the design – the headband with two adjustable straps, the studded mask, and the sink plug. Everything looks great. I just wish they would show a photo of the inside – not only to see if it’s comfortable, but also to see if it’s easy to clean (the faux leather mask seems to separate from the back).

9. Locking Gag

Uh, okay… I know some people can handle vague product information, but not me! It says it’s lockable, but we can’t see where. No details about the materials either. I wish there were more pictures of the product from different angles. Oh well. At least it’s cheap, so if you don’t like it, you didn’t waste too much money.

10. Spider Mouth Gag Headband

OK. We won’t hesitate any more. We have arrived at the hardcore and deluxe options

The design is available in 5 colors of stitching. It’s very adjustable (in two sizes), so your sub will be very comfortable. And, while the spider ring might make the whole sub look a little busy, I kind of like the added functionality. Before you get tempted by the price tag, remember that this is handmade.
